We will be there will an amazingly full set up of all our tee's and Funko's along with some special treats available only at the con. Looking at the guest list for this Spring con there are a few names you will be as stoked as us to see. We have the Punisher himself (Sorry Thomas Jane, we love you too especially the Dirty Laundry short, but it's true) Jon Bernthal will be there. Seems like a fine time to get a photo with him in our Castle Demolitions tee, just saying. For all you O.G. nerds they are also hosting Robert Carradine and Don Gibbs from Revenge of the Nerds. The cinematic masterpiece that our Tri-Lam design was inspired by. You can see a full run down of the celebrities that will be there at the Steel City Con site - RIGHT HERE |
Starting today and going through until Cyber Monday ends you can stock up at Shirtnado.com with some hefty discounts on everything on our site. Just use the code "BF10" for $10 off of all orders of $50 and above and "BF25" for $25 off of orders of $100 or more. It's just that easy. We flew out to Seattle last week to do a bit of exploring into the Emerald City Comic Con and the insane Funko Headquarters, and it did not disappoint. Had a blast meeting a ton of artists, writers, fellow collectors, and new fans. The con was rad and we got their early enough to be able to get around and talk with everyone. All the people I saw in a Shirtnado tee we will be getting in touch to send you something rad out as a way to say thanks! We met with a lot of awesomely creative people and got ideas for new designs, collabs, and just general insanity that I'm sure you will all be into.
We also didn't just buy for ourselves but got a few exclusives we will be putting up for sale very soon. We will let you know a bit before things go live since the numbers are limited and it will be a first come/ first serve situation. Funko Headquarters is everything you would hope and if you are ever in the area it is totally worth a trip. The displays and the make your own Freddy or monster Funko alone are worth it. When you throw all the Pop!s, patches, keychains, random exclusives, and the joy of how easy it is to dig through and do some Pop! hunting it becomes a must stop. Also I noticed the Rocketeer helmet in one of the displays and that's just rad.
We have a few new designs were putting the finishing touches on now along with some totally new things. We have heard the call for tank tops much like the hoodies and those are on their way! We have also been looking into some new collectibles to help fill your shelves. More on those once we get some things in the 'Nado HQ.
Lastly we have been dealing with all the fun red tape with opening a new store and it has been a bit more intense than we were hoping. The good news is that no amount of red tape can contain a Shirtnado of awesomeness and the end is finally in sight. To those who managed to make it in during our soft opening and have patiently waited to come back we appreciate all the support and will be doing our best to give the love back with the best shop we can put out there.
]]>First up is one you won't have to wait too long for, the Punisher. With Disney getting ready to launch its own service Netflix has been losing the Marvel licenses but we still have Frank Castle and Jigsaw to keep us going so let's enjoy. In case you are super late to the party here is the trailer and the full run drops on January 18.
While they are losing Marvel Netflix has been filling it's lineup with some lesser known comic based shows. Besides the Locke and Key series they are giving us the Umbrella Academy. The book was written by Gerard Way (the singer of your favorite Hot Topic band My Chemical Romance) with art by one half of the Brazilian wonder twins Gabriel Ba. The book is only on its third run right now so easy to jump in and catch up and it is one I highly suggest. The one line pitch is that it is a blended family-super hero- action- drama- with a talking monkey. If you aren't already sold here is the trailer to check out ... You can see the full season on February 15th.
First up in the Captain Marvel 2 pack is the MCU version Carol Danvers. This is set in the 90's and looks to introduce us to the woman that seems to be taking a/ the lead role in the next phase of Marvel movies. It also gives us some prime Nick Fury and a cat that seems to be a huge part. I don't get it but I will never complain about kittens in my super hero movies so wow me Goose!! Just to get this out of the way I was hoping for the fauxhawk Carol that has been in the comics recently but we at least are getting the mohawk look with the helmet so I won't hold it against them. The good Cap'n hits on March 8.
On the other side we have the DC offering of the OG Captain Marvel now just going by Shazam. Long story short Captain Marvel (Shazam) was invented as sort of a Superman rip off in 1939. National Comics (then DC) wasn't into that and sued Fawcett (Captain Marvel Shazam editions publisher). They settled out of court but damage was done and the Marvel family sort of went into limbo. In 1967 Marvel sees the name and says "Don't mind if I do" and create there own. As Shazam came back in DC comics they pretty much traded between calling him Captain Marvel and Shazam. Now though it is pretty much Shazam only. #FactFriday So impress all the other folks in the theater with your knowledge of early comicdom. This story seems to pretty closely follow the New 52 arc and seems to be a lot more haha than the gritty DC movies they started with. Will it be the next Aquaman or will it be another one DC takes an L on? Check out the trailer and see what happens to the mightiest mortal on April 5.
This next one is an indie gem that Im not too familiar with but the people in the know seem to think it will be worth keeping an eye on. Seems there was a movie before this called "Infinite War" or something?? Must be a period piece. Any way this is called Avengers: Endgame and if you think it is the kinda thing you could get into here is the trailer and seems it will be in theaters on April 26. If the buzz is to be believed this may do pretty Ok so maybe try for the matinee showing.
The show will loosely be based on Trump's Space Force plans, but don't expect something in the sci-fi realm, the show is expected to focus more on the people in charge of creating The Space Force and figuring out exactly what this new branch of the military will do, and how they will "perform other space related tasks"
We're anxiously awaiting an actual trailer. In the meantime, check out our take on Space Force with our Space Force tee.
]]>Christmas is coming early!! You all have been so good this year you are getting the finest present we could give. All the ridiculously soft tee's you know and love along with one of the best selections of Funko Pops! in the area are up and ready to add to your collections. You can also check out our pins, Marvel Legends, and some other rad stuff like blind boxes and stickers. We will announce our day to day hours in a bit but we couldn't stand to make you wait any longer. ]]>Just wanted to let everyone know that we have started giving a little early over here at Shirtnado HQ. Right now until Monday the 26th we are offering buy 2 get 1 free on all tee's. Just add 3 tee's to your cart and the discount applies, no code needed!
We are still working to get the shop open but hit a snag and we will have to let all of you know the new opening date. It is looking awesome and we can guarantee it will be your new one stop for all things ridiculously soft and rad!!
Last thing we have changed out pre-orders for Funko Pops! If you have an order you will still be getting it as soon as we have them in house and don't need to do anything but we won't be taking any new pre-orders from this point on. We will still update the calendar with dates on when we expect our newest Funko items to come in so you can see what we have on the way. As soon as we have them in hand they will go live online and in store. So keep an eye on the calendar to find out when your favorite Pops! will be available.
]]>If you prefer the outdoors and the joy of anxiously looking for a place to charge your phone constantly then the new Jurassic World mobile game is all you. I have only checked it out real quick but if you fell into the pokemon go craze then you should be right at home here. Now instead of adorable little made up animals we have massive dino pals...so a pretty good move in my opinion. While you are out collecting maybe bring an expert like Alan Grant. I don't know how to get you in touch with Sam Neil but I can get you his Funko Version and let's be real that is just as good right??
So what are you playing this weekend? A bit of fighting, bit of dino catching, something totally different??? Let us know what you're up to now that we have summer finally here in all its sweaty fun.
]]>For all the Funko Fanatics the documentary of how Funko came to be the end all in nostalgia toys is now up on Netflix. We have been into Pops! for a long time now and its cool seeing where they came from and how they are made. No matter what your nerd thing is Funko! has you covered somehow. What other company can go from Star Wars, to WWE, to the Golden Girls and have them all fit together?
Whether you are just starting out or deep in the game we have some of the raddest Pops! ready to go on your shelf packed up like the precious bundles of joy that they are. Let us know what's your favorite or which you are looking most forward to. The glamour shots of the Gargoyle Pops! are looking awesome and I already have a spot picked out for them on my wall!
Get your Funko fix right HERE new pre-orders up all the time so keep watching to make sure your collection is at the proper level of super awesome radtasticness!!

They've been in contact with Hasbro, Mattel & about 200 smaller toy companies that will be looking for an outlet for stock. If the holiday season is successful, some of the pop-ups may stick around long-term.
]]>Ok let's do a quick breakdown. So Cable is coming back in time to save the world, which is really his favorite thing no matter if it's comics, tv, or movies. This time it seems to be a new mutant? or at least one I can't place from what we've seen. Luckily for him our favorite merc with a mouth is playing bodyguard for the kid so there we have our setup for the story.
This time we are getting a few new friends too. X-Force is officially name dropped in this trailer and while we don't get the full roster run down we know a few characters. We already know Domino is there and looks like Shatterstar in white between DP and Terry Crews' character on the chopper. Still not sure of the fifth character is on the chopper but you may have noticed they gave us the name of who the office linebacker himself is playing. As Deadpool is going through headshots for X-Force we see Terry Crews with the name Bedlam under it. Bedlam has a bioelectrical field that affects mechanical and electrical things. Which is they are playing into Cable having a techno-organic virus could make him a useful guy to have on your side. There is also another female mutant on the team that we don't get a name for but looks like she could be playing Surge. She can absorb electricity and send it back out in blasts so another electric based character would make sense.
We get to see DP in high heels, a real sweet X-Men jersey, a cameo from Professor X's wheelchair, and our bestie Blind Al gets the line of the trailer. The first movie was rad and looks like they are going to keep the streak going. Now all we need to do is make it till May to see it. Until then we can keep you covered literally in our Dopinder's Taxi tee!! Of course we all love the main man in red but be honest you know you were really just hoping for more Dopinder just like we were.

There will be another 10 episodes like the first season but looks like we will be seeing a lot this time. If you haven't finished season 1 this is where I put the spoiler warning so go on...get out....ok those 2 gone? Alright well what the hell man?! Season one not only told a wild story of A.I. possibly being sentient and how humans act when there are no rules but the wildest part is that the whole first season has been called a prologue. The "real" show starts in season 2. There are still a lot of questions and the biggest for me is whether or not this has all been planned. With Maeve and Dolores both making some huge calls in the first season finale we have to see if Ford was leading them to their decisions or if they have really figured out the maze for themselves.
The show still seems to be mostly focused on the West part of Westworld but there are hints that they actually have 6 worlds going. We saw a few glimpses of the Samurai world and the writers have said that unlike the movie in the 70's there won't be a medieval or Roman world. I was also looking forward to Maeve getting out in the real world and seeing what she does out of the park's control but with her choice to go back we will have to wait to see how her roll changes in the chaos. Plus who thinks that was really Ford? He seemed to come around to Arnold's thoughts that the host's didn't deserve a life of repeated misery so people can be terrible to them but he also didn't seem like the kind of guy that would sacrifice himself to start a revolution. Then we have the Man in Black/ William. Now we see how he started and who he became will we see what made him turn?
This show was awesome in season 1 and there is no way they are going to slow down now. I want this to be like the last season we saw of Game of Thrones where it was non stop the whole time. A trip from the capital to the wall that before took half a season was handled in 20 minutes. I know some people didn't like that but come on the first season was a political drama set in medieval times. Now we have dragon zombies. Things changed and for the better I think. So like that lets use the world that was set up in season one and let it get banana sandwich levels of crazy moving ahead.
I'm dropping the trailer here so if you missed it enjoy but what do you guys want to see? What questions are you walking in with and what worlds do you hope to see some killing in? Also make sure you are the cool kid in your watch parties by rocking the Mariposa Saloon tee and we have a few Westworld Funko Pop! figured left so grab yours before the inevitable series 2 comes out!!

Yea. This is genuinely like having a wish fulfilled for me and a lot comic fans. These movies have pulled people in and this is the culmination of a lot of shield throws, hulking out, hammer smashes, shrinking, web swings, and iron suits.
I am just assuming I will be seeing all of you at the AMC marathon leading up to Infinity War. Il be the guy who is modeling 18 different Shirtnado tees haha. So who's pumped to see this and what are you hoping to see? I'm already loving seeing the Guardians interacting with everyone else and Cap vs Thanos?! I'm not mad at that at all.
Of course I don't any of you fine folks not looking your best for this most holy of nerd events so whether its Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-man, or the Guardians we have you covered. Grab your own baby soft rad ass tee here and remember that our flash sale happening is going on this weekend to save yourself some bucko-delores.

The Marvel cinematic universe hasn't been a huge factor in the Netflix shows yet. We haven't had much besides a few lines here and there referencing that the heroes in NYC are aware of the craziness that has happened outside the rest of the world. The last Cap movie was Civil War and in the comics that involved everybody. I get why they can't do it on that scale for one movie but maybe we get some spill over in the Netflix 'verse. I loved how the last Daredevil season had 2 arcs. We got Punisher and the Elektra stories. Maybe the third DD season can start with a story about Matt laying low to protect his identity and not registering and Danny takes the red tights out for a bit to help him clear his name. If nothing else we get a sweet devil vs devil fight out of it.
We got to see the team up in the Defenders but in the comics there have been a few different line ups under the Defenders name. One guy that's there more often than not is the good doctor himself Stephen Strange. He lives up the road from all this Hell's Kitchen and Manhattan madness and with the hand bringing people back from the dead and mystical ninja fights going on it would be rad to see Doctor Strange pop up to help out. Even if its just in a last minute finale kind of move.
While we are making a wish list why not toss in some of the more comic rooted bad guys. I know these are the more grimy street level heroes but that doesn't mean every bank robber has to be a guy in a ski mask. I'm not asking for a season long story with Hydro Man or Gladiator but why not follow the more comic approach in story telling that season 2 of Daredevil started. Throw in a one off episode and just to help out I'l give you the story Netflix. Sandman is trying to help out his estranged daughter the best way he knows how, robbing banks. He hits a few gets on Daredevil's radar...get it, radar, damn I'm good... and we get to see them throw down. Maybe Matt even takes pity on the guy for trying to help his daughter and works as his attorney a few episodes later to give us a little closure on the story. Boosh! It's just that easy Marvel.
It's been a rumor for a while but seriously give us Moon Knight. He is the perfect character for Netflix. You get your drama, action, a few laughs, and a vengeful other worldly god. If you don't know who Moon Knight is here's the super rough breakdown. Special forces merc who dies and is brought back by an Egyptian god to protect travelers of the night. Oh and he may or may not be totally crazy to the point that you wonder if any of the stuff he has seen is real. He has split personalities and is not at all above going full on Punisher when dealing with crime. It's worth it for the fact that each of his personalities could have totally different dealings with everyone. Just imagine a stressed out Jessica Jones trying to hold back as the guy slips from one version of himself to another. There's no way its not gold.
He has been teased in Daredevil already so don't tell me it's not possible. Come on we all know we need Stilt Man. We don't deserve him but damn do we need him now more than ever. Just imagine him taking on the Defenders. Will it most likely be a 5 minute joke fight? Yes. Will it be the most entertaining 5 minutes Marvels Netflix shows ever give us? You know it will. Oh, just to add this in Stilt Man's real name is Wilbur. Just make this happen already.

David Chase & Lawrence Konner have a script that has been purchased by New Line Cinema for a prequel to the Sopranos story. The movie will take place in the 60's, around the time of the Newark riots, and include some of the characters fans of the show will remember. We don't have a lot of details now, but Chase will be producing, co-writing & be involved in finding a director, so we can look forward to an authentic Sopranos experience. The Many Saints of Newark is a working title, but more than enough to get fans of HBO's game changing series something to look forward too.
]]>People get addicted to Funko Pops, and it's pretty hard for normal people to understand, but sometimes I think even the most die hard of collectors can start to think how wildly high some of these go for. Here are some of the craziest sales we could find in recent history. Obviously these sales numbers aren't a perfect representation of their value, but they do represent what they worth to one particular person that was willing to drop some insane money on them.
So what is the most expensive Funko Pop? Well, here's a start...

So there you have it. Some of the most ridiculously priced pops in the game!
*This list kind of skipped over one very highly priced series, the Freddy Funkos have a lot of highly valued variants, but to keep the list interesting, we skipped those. Could not have compiled this with out the very useful poppriceguide.com

Starting off strong with one of the most best fellas to ever stroll the neighborhood we have Mister Rogers coming in early May. Get this guy on one end of your shelf and Bob Ross on the other and you will become 105% more chill. (That hasn't been scientifically tested but I'll still guarantee it works.)
To start off we're taking it back a bit with some of the best the 80's had to offer. From the classic comedy Coming to America we have the Pop! versions of Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall as their characters Prince Akeem and Semmi. On the TV side you can full your own playhouse with Pee-wee and his friends. You have to expect Jambi and Cowboy Curtis to be in the next set but until then you get Pee-wee, Miss Yvonne, and Chairry with Pterri 2 pack. You already know where we stand on Pterodactyls with this design already out so we're pumped to see him make a Funko appearance.
Grease is the word well Grease and toys...toys are also the word. Either way, you no longer have to decide now that Grease has toys so rest easy kids. This wave has Danny Zuko in his leather jacket or the classic school sweater look. There's also 2 Sandra Dees. In either her school or carnival looks.
Last but for sure not least we have a few more additions for your Stranger Things shelf. To start they are calling her the "Elevated" Eleven but we all know its really the Eleven with "authentic bitchin' mind powers" edition. Your new faves are here too. Well one fave and one guy we all love to hate in Bob and Billy respectively. To end this series Funko is giving us a new Hopper with underground murder vines look and Steve with his babysitting/hunting gear.
We are stoked to be able to get you guys and gals all this Funko Pop! awesomeness in these pre-orders! So pick up a new set of vinyl buds and let us know who you can't wait to get an unbox or just leave mint on the shelf.

First up we have the Saturday Night Live Pops! with everyone's favorite guide to all the best NY hot spots Stefon, the meanest man to ever play the cowbell Gene Frenkle, and those wonderful gift givers the D*ck in a Box Duo.
Coming in May we have a few awesome Pops! to pick up like the Princess Bride crew. We have Inigo Montoya, Buttercup, and Westley in his unmasked or masked Chase look.
We got you music lovers covered too. You can tease those bangs up and get those ripped jeans out of the closet with Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, and Mick Mars of Motley Crue. While you are reliving those 80's metal days you can hang with Mr. School's out himself, Alice Cooper. You know what goes perfect after a night of partying with some of metal's finest? Accordion. So get your squeezebox on with the Weird Al Pop and get weird with it.
Helping you get ready for some more of that sweet Merc with a Mouth action you can pick up Deadpool in his Bob Ross, Clown, Robe, or super casual lounging action look. Since you can't have a Deadpool without someone for him to talk to, or at, we also have some co stars for him. Grab your very own Negasonic Teenage Warhead (still the coolest name ever), Domino, Cable, and Colossus.
Then of course there the finest syrup chugging, liter of cola ordering, cup testing cops this side of the Vermont state line. Let's hope we get Rabbit and the chief soon but until then start your collection with Mac, Farva, and Ramathorn.
There are soo many new vinyl bundles of joy coming we had to break it into 2 parts so while that's it for now be ready for a whole new group to drop in Part Dos later this week!!
]]>That is a lot to try and follow but luckily you don't need to have read all those issues to enjoy the movie coming up. I definitely would say you should check out Captain America: Civil War since that's where we are introduced to Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa. I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it but also come on, you should have by now SMH. I think that movie while introducing us to T'Challa won't really be the lead in to his stand alone movie but I think Civil War ends n a way that more likely sets up the version of Black Panther we will see in Infinity war. This looks to be a more centered look at the world T'Challa deals with on a more day to day level before everyone comes together to take on Cable..wait... I mean Thanos, honest mistake. We will see his famly and the villains that have been there since day one like Klaw and later baddies like Killmonger and Man Ape. If you somehow still aren't stoked to see this here is the trailer to get the blood moving in that cold dead heart.
Now just to make sure you don't go in there looking like you don't know whats up we have you covered wth our "Visit Wakanda" tee. So who has seen the movie and what did you think? Let us know here, facebook, instagram, twitter, at our brick and mortar shop, or just stalk us and jump out of the bushes yelling opinons.
